Central detection system has not been inspected in the last 12 months. Central detection system was last inspected and tagged on 1/15/24.
The weekly lesson plans in the one year and two year classrooms are not dated.
Serious Non-Compliance. One personnel does not have a background check.
Tornado Drill was not conducted in January. The last monthly tornado drill was conducted on 12/15/23.

A Child was placed in a high chair too close to the bottle warmer filled with hot water and cord was accessible. Child pulled the bottle warmer cord and hot water fell onto the child causing burns.

Plan to Correct
The Director will discuss with personnel the bottle warmer, the cord and hot water inaccessible to children so it will never happen again. The Director will inform personnel to always check the classroom to ensure no hazards are accessible. In the future, all hazards will be removed from the classroom and will be inaccessible to children.

Plan to Correct
Director stated they will move the bottle warmer, mini fridge and microwave to the closet in the classroom so it is inaccessible to children. The room arrangement was adjusted and safety measures were put in place. Highchairs will remain on the tile area of the classroom and anything that needs to be plugged in will be moved to the closet in the classroom. Director will talk to Superintendent about extending the countertop for more space and having electrician give her estimates for wiring more electrical outlets in the classroom. In the future, personnel will demonstrate prudent and responsible behavior by ensuring no hazards are accessible to children.
