Ensure that all teachers use their classroom clipboards with daily attendance and count children as they enter and exit the classroom. 2.We have discussed with each teacher, and all staff the importance of counting the children when entering and exiting the classroom. 3.We have discontinued the playground time after lunch for two and three year olds. 4.We have made a supervision map for the playground and updated our playground schedule so that staff are using best practices for supervision. 5. We implemented new playground supervision stations for teachers to post at and rotate during their scheduled time outside. 6. We had one on ones with each teacher discussing the importance of playground safety and posted weather charts for best practice safe outdoor play. 7. We had a school wide meeting discussing the importance of supervision at all times.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-287(a) - Supervision. Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.
