Plan to Correct

The program has reviewed staffing schedules and attendance procedures, and early morning staffing schedules have been permanently adjusted to ensure ratio compliance during during drop-off times. A designated staff member is now responsible for monitoring child count and staff presence during early morning hours, and float or on-call staff will be utilized as needed to maintain required ratios. Staff have been reminded that children may not be accepted into care unless appropriate staff coverage is present. The Director will monitor compliance through daily review of staffing schedules and attendance records and conduct periodic ratio checks during early morning hours to ensure ongoing compliance.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-286(a) - Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.
