Plan to Correct

Child Care Services recieved the following plan of correction: Director switched to a van where all seatbelts are working. Director will ensure all children are in the proper restraints when being transported and no child will be without a seatbelt when transported. Director will review transportation requirements with personnel.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-305(g)(3) - Children remain properly secured in child passenger restraint system, such as a car or booster seat or an individual seat belt complying with applicable state laws, unless the vehicle is exempt, per (5) of this subsection. Children do not share a seat belt.

Plan to Correct

Child Care Services received the following plan of correction: Director had a staff meeting and reviewed all Discipline and Behavior Guidance requirements. Personnel will not put children in timeout longer than their age.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-288(b)(11)(C) - Time-out is limited to one minute or less for each year of age. However, when self-control is regained in less time, the child may rejoin an ongoing activity.
