Plan to Correct

All Staff completed training on recognizing signs of child abuse and appropriate reporting procedures. The program also conducted a staff meeting to review active supervision practices, including maintain awareness of children's interactions and intervening immediately.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-287(a) - Supervision. Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.

Plan to Correct

The staff member responsible for using inappropriate discipline was terminated from employment. All remaining staff were retrained on the programs appropriate discipline and behavior guidance policies to ensure appropriate discipline techniques are used with children at all times.
