All staff involved in infant care have been retrained on proper feeding procedures. Moving forward, staff will either hold infants during feeding or, if of proper age and developmentally appropriate, place them in high chairs to self-feed.

340:110-3-298(f)(5)(C) - Infants 7 months of age and older are held while being bottle-fed until able to hold bottles securely without assistance.

Plan to Correct

"Our staff will continue to not accept children to be dropped off into their classroom if it puts them out of ratio. Parents stay with their child at the classroom door or in the office until there's room for the child to be accepted into ratio."

Regulation Description

340:110-3-286(a) - Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.

Due by 02/23/2023--grieved to supervisor. Notice to Comply received 2/21/23: "*grieving* Staff will continue to use cell phones only for business purposes when ipads are not functioning/charging. Management conducts spot checks when in use to confirm only brightwheel is being used. Once desert grant funds are received we will upgrade our ipads to more current models. **Upheld by supervisor. This POC accepted.
