All staff are required to complete mandatory training on Positive Guidance and Discipline, as well as training on Recognizing and Reporting Suspected Child Abuse, by September 26, 2025. Training links are provided below. In addition, all staff must attend a mandatory staff meeting on September 23, 2025, where the center's Discipline Policy will be redistributed and reviewed. Each staff member will be required to sign an acknowledgment form confirming their understanding of the Tree House Academy Discipline Policy. Failure to comply with this policy will result in immediate coaching and, if necessary, disciplinary action. At this meeting, staff will also review the Mandated Reporter Guidelines and the procedures for reporting suspected concerns of child abuse and neglect. Open communication with management regarding any staff concerns will also be discussed. Over the next 90 days (September 18 - December 31), staff will participate in additional monthly discipline and guidance training provided either online or in person. Effective immediately, all new staff must complete the Tree House Academy Positive Guidance and Discipline Training, as well as pass the required test, during their onboarding process prior to working in the building or classroom. All teaching staff have been reminded that active supervision is required at all times, including during rest and nap periods. Teachers must remain in the rest area, visually scanning the classroom and positioning themselves to always see and hear all children. Failure to comply with these supervision requirements will result in immediate coaching and, if necessary, disciplinary action. In addition to the Hourly Numbers/Ratios and Classroom Checks already in place, a member of management will conduct classroom walkthroughs/observations every 30 minutes during nap time. These checks will be logged on the Hourly Number Form to ensure accountability.
