Plan to Correct

Per policy, outside food that is brought in, is only food products that would be appropriate for children to be served, unless consumed while children are not present or asleep for naptime, if given no lunch break. If food or drink that is not allowed is consumed while children are present, the staff will be given verbal warning, 2nd time is a verbal written warning, & the 3rd is a written warning, after this will be suspended. If issues continue, the staff will be terminated.

Cell phones are not allowed in view of children. They are not allowed to use them or be seen. If a staff member is caught with cell phone, the staff will be given verbal warning, 2nd time is a verbal written & the 3rd is a written warning, after this will be suspended. If issues continue, the staff will be terminated.

Purses or bags are to be kept out of reach of children. Staff are not allowed to take medication in the presence of children, unless the medication is for life threatening issues such as asthma, diabetes or other such issues. If seen, the staff will be given verbal warning, 2nd time is a verbal written & 3rd time is a written warning, after this staff will be suspended. If issues continue, the staff will be terminated.

Any physical abuse will be immediate termination. The staff involved in this situation was removed from the class while investigation was completed. Once evidence of the incident was seen on video this person was terminated. If any physical abuse is witnessed, whether in person or via video, the staff member will be immediately terminated.

As soon as children are found to be soiled, they are changed as soon as possible. Staff has been told that if assistance is needed, they are to ask for help immediately, so that no child is left in soiled clothes for extended time. If this issue continues to happen, the staff will be given verbal warning, 2nd time is a verbal written & the 3rd is a written warning, after this will be suspended. If issues continue, the staff will be terminated.

340:110-3-297(c)(2) - Clothing. Both wet and soiled clothing is changed promptly while providing sanitation practices and privacy.
