Program scheduled and completed Active Supervision for all time. New staff completed active supervision during orientation. The program provides on-site classroom observations monthly by leadership team, video observation weekly, and daily ongoing oversight. Teachers involved completed ECLKC Training and turn in reflection to Director.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-287(a) - Supervision. Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.

Plan to Correct

Director and site Supervisor held a meeting with staff involved, reviewed film, reviewed active supervision, and procedures for reporting incidents. Staff involved given training overactive supervision. During the staff meeting staff reviewed the Injury and Incidents Procedure. Highlighting when and how to notify parents of injury or incident.
