Plan to Correct

Per the Notice to Comply dated 7-19-23: When children line up, all teachers will count the children & confirm the numbers match the number of children signed in. They will walk to the hall & the children will be counted again. They will then walk outside, line up on the wall & be counted again. They will then walk to the gate where they will be counted again. After play, the children will line up on the fence & be counted. They will then line up on the wall & be counted again. The children will be directed to walk to & sit in front of their cubbies. The children will be instructed to take off their shoes. Once the children stand up, staff will count them again & walk them to class. The children will be instructed to sit on the rug where they will be counted again. The Program will also keep the total number of each age group & the total over all number wrote on the board.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-287(a) - Supervision. Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.
