All staff have been informed verbally and in writing that the use of cell phones is prohibited while supervising children. Director will maintain supervision by doing hourly counts and walk arounds.

340:110-3-287(a) - Supervision. Supervision is the function of observing, overseeing, and guiding a child or group of children, including an awareness of, and responsibility for, the ongoing activity of each child, and being near enough to intervene when needed. The program is required to maintain supervision at all times.

Regulation Description

340:110-3-286(a) - Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.

Director will be walking around listening and giving 15-minute mental health breaks as needed. Each staff will complete the training "Challenging Behaviors" by 7/15/26.

Notice to Comply - Staff member in question was terminated as of 12/08/23; appropriate discipline expectations will be reviewed with all staff; Conscious Discipline training is scheduled January 2, 2024 for all staff to attend. Discipline methods used by staff will be closely monitored by leadership.
