Director will put two signs on the gate fire exit only. A message was sent to all parents to not use the gate in the playground. Playground safety checklist that the teachers have to do each day morning and afternoon while outside playing and will be turned into the director at the end of date. The teachers sign, date, with their outdoor times. The outside playtimes changed, or each classroom has a separate times. Copy of schedule was emailed to Child Care Services. The teachers will do head count at the classroom door, head count by the outside door and head count back into the building and head count into the classroom. The teachers use a clipboard with their children's names listed. Teachers were put on 30 day probation, and if they violation of program policy and handbook the teacher will be terminated. Teacher was terminated. Had a staff meeting on 06/18/2024, and talked with teachers about naptime, and it was explained that children are not to forced to nap. Director is reaching out to outside resources for training and guidance for teachers for proper protocol for naptime.

The children do not have to remain on their cots if they do not nap for the 2 hours. If the children decide to stay on their cot, they are given a quiet activity. If the child decides to get up from their cot, they can go to the table and color or do another quiet activity, or go to reading center to do a puzzle, read, or other quiet activity.
