A white lighter was within reach of children in the living-room/kitchen area. The lighter was placed on the kitchen bar area, closest to the sofa and bar chair, near the phone jack on the wall.. Three children were standing on the sofa, facing the licensing specialist in the kitchen, within three inches of the lighter. Provider immediately removed the lighter and placed it out of reach of children. The home does not smell of smoke.
