A new hire checklist will be implemented for all new personnel, that includes date of background submitted, and placed in their personnel file. Before personnel's start date verify on the checklist that personnel has a date for submitted background request.

Personnel was replaced with a teacher that could count in ratios. Ensure that background request for new personnel has been submitted and documented on the new hire checklist and specific training has been completed, and ensure a background request has not came back incomplete or closed. Ongoing the program will enter personnel into the Procare system after a background request has been submitted.
Regulation Description
Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.
