Non Compliance Observed
One teacher in the 6:2 all infant classroom was breastfeeding her child and being used to meet staff/child ratios; a teacher in the all 2's classroom walked out of the classroom into the hallway to place a portable crib in the hallway.
Numerous, Repeated, and/or Serious Non Compliance
Yes
Plan to Correct
Will send a message that if they have to have a second teacher that requires them to be in ratio, they need to take children with them if they need to go into the hallway and if breastfeeding they cannot do it in the classroom and cannot count in staff/child ratio since it is considered a personal activity.
Regulation Description
Ratios. Ratios are the number of teaching personnel required to be physically present with a child or group of children, per Oklahoma Administrative Code (OAC) 340 Appendix GG - Ratios and Group Sizes. Only teaching personnel count in ratios, unless requirements specifically state otherwise. The program is required to maintain ratios at all times.
