Safe sleep
Non Compliance Observed One personnel was caring for infants and had taken only 1-hour Safe Sleep Practices for Caregivers: Reduce the Risk of SUID unapproved and informal training. Numerous, Repeated, and/or Serious Non Compliance Yes Plan to Correct Teacher was removed from caring for infants and sent to break. This personnel will not be caring for infants and will not be working in that room anymore. There was confusion about the free Safe Sleep class available since a handout for a free Safe Sleep training available through CECPD was sent out when this personnel needed the training. For the future, we will only use Cecpd sourced and DHS-approved training. Regulation Description Safe sleep. Rest equipment
Non Compliance Observed A 14 month old was resting in a bouncer. Numerous, Repeated, and/or Serious Non Compliance No Plan to Correct Child was removed from bouncer and picked up to rest in crib. For the future, we will tell all personnel that children immediately need to be put to rest in their crib. Regulation Description Rest equipment. Children rest on a mat, cot, or bed. However, 1-year-olds may also rest in cribs or play yards that meet requirements per OAC 340:110-3-302(b) with the sides fully raised and secured. Plan to Correct Date 2025-03-19
Eating and drinking location
Non Compliance Observed A 14 month old was drinking their bottle in a bouncer not in motion instead of drinking a bottle. Numerous, Repeated, and/or Serious Non Compliance No Plan to Correct Child had bottle taken out by personnel. For the future, personnel will be told that children will need to be only be placed in designated eating areas that do not move.
